Weekend Routine!

The weekend: my favourite time of the week.  Sadly, it goes by so quick.  Monday alone seems to last longer than all Friday-Sunday.  I’m usually so tired after work during the week, that the weekend is a time for me to relax and recoup.  So, without further ado, here’s my weekend morning routine.

8am.

Wake up.  Maybe.  Lately, I’ve been trying to wake up at the same time every morning.  I have been able to maintain it quite well.  (Unless a late weekend night of movies or gaming… No, I don’t tend to go out and party.)

830am

I finally decide to get out of bed.  Since my cat is screaming bloody murder because he’s hungry.  (He’s overweight and is on a diet… He’s not a fan of his new diet).  Now, I will usually get myself some tea and my partner some coffee.  I’ll make myself a tiny breakfast which includes a bowl of cereal, toast or a piece of fruit.  I bring the food/drinks back up to bed.  For the next half an hour, I will watch some youtube videos and check my email.

9am

Get up and make a true breakfast.  Usually consisting of eggs and vegetables.  I enjoy cooking (and eating) a good breakfast.  It settles my stomach and gives me some energy.

10am

By ten, we usually play hours worth of video games.  We enjoy playing Overwatch together.  I find it to be so much fun.

11am

Shower and get ready for the day.  I will usually add some more colour to my hair while in there.  I like to have a refreshed colour for the week.  I have purple hair.  So the upkeep is time-consuming.  Then I will get dressed and do my makeup.  Most days a wear a small amount of makeup.

12pm

Lunch.  We will make a sandwich or eat leftovers.  We will grab something quick and easy.  I like to load up lunch with fresh fruits and vegetables.

1230pm

My partner and I love to go for walks together.  We will go for one almost every day.  Most weekends we will go to a boardwalk next to the harbour.  It’s a beautiful view.  I find the fresh air and the view is relaxing and beneficial.

130pm

I love organizing our dates for the weekend.  Since we tend to have fewer commitments.  We will often go on a coffee date to our favourite local cafes.  (because I want a dessert. Chocolate is my best friend.)

230pm

After our date will we go to visit friends or family members.  Depends on who is around.

5pm

We go home and cook supper.  We like to cook evening meals together. It takes less time and it’s less work.  Supper is our largest meal.  We will have steak, chicken, pasta and more.  We like to try new recipes and ingredients.  (Thank you Pinterest for giving me so many great recipes and ideas!)

7pm

After everything is clean, we will either play some more video games or watch a movie.  My partner loves to watch horror movies.  So lately, we’ve been watching a lot of those.  I’m not the biggest fan.  I mean? Why do they always open the door when everyone knows that they shouldn’t.  We play a game to see who can guess the order of character deaths.

9pm

Time to start getting ready for bed.  After removing my makeup, drinking some water and changing into some comfy clothes.  I’ll get into bed and either read, watch an episode on Netflix or cuddle my cat.  I usually prefer to have a relaxing night.  But that’s not always the case.

10pm

Bedtime.
